New information has come to light regarding the tragic passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A source indicates citing a person close to the family, a massage therapist arriving for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

Upon entering the residence, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had gone with her promptly called 911. Afterward, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently in custody and denied bail.

The confidential informant also disputed several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
