LA Erupts in Celebration as Dodgers Secure Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Festivities started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the victory.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto stated. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”
Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit
In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the celebration. Recordings from the event seem to depict him taking the stage to a combination of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
